Reproduction Comments
Flowers of the tribe Agrostideae are usually perfect (Hitchcock 1951). Apomixis occurs in the genus (Fryxell 1957). The long awns attach to fur or clothing; seeds of the genus have been found in cattle dung (Ridley 1930).
