Short General Description
Lichen; thallus thin, of flat to hemispherical, brownish to greenish brown, crenately lobed squamules, or in part areolate; apothecia small to middle-sized, adnate, the disk flat to convex, black, the exciple thin, raised, black, becoming irregular, and disappearing; hypothecium brown (Fink 1935).
