Species: Deschampsia caespitosa

Plantae - Anthophyta - Monocotyledoneae - Cyperales - Poaceae - Deschampsia - This record is for the narrow concept of Deschampsia caespitosa, not including material formerly treated in four subspecies (alpina, beringensis, brevifolia, and holciformis) that are elevated to full species in Kartesz (1999). No infraspecific taxa of D. caespitosa are recognized in Kartesz (1999). The other subspecies recognized in the 1994 checklist (glauca, orientalis, parviflora, and paramushirensis) are included in the synonymy of the full species in Kartesz (1999). Kartesz (1999) also includes D. mackenzieana in D. caespitosa. The species name was previously spelled cespitosa (Kartesz 1994).
