Species: Dodecatheon pulchellum ssp. macrocarpum

Plantae - Anthophyta - Dicotyledoneae - Primulales - Primulaceae - Dodecatheon - according to Hitchcock et al., 1955. Recognized as D. pulchellum var. alaskanum (Hulten) Boivin by Welsh, 1974 and by Suttill, in press [ca. 1992]. Kartesz notes (pers. com. to Larry Morse, 25Nov99) that there has been little taxonomic research on the genus Dodecatheon in recent decades, so he is maintaining established usage. (If ssp. alaskanum excluded, then much rarer; was ranked 'T2Q' in that sense 91-08-07).
