Ecology and Life History
Short General Description
Plants small, in mats, yellow-green to brownish. Stems 1-2 cm long, branched, central strand weak or wanting. Leaves erect-spreading to imbricate, often less than 1 mm long, usually slightly longer than broad, ovate, concave, obtuse to rounded at apex, slightly decurrent; margins entire, plane, or slightly recurved at base; costa short and double. Autoicous (Lawton 1971).
