Species: Juncus falcatus ssp. sitchensis

Plantae - Anthophyta - Monocotyledoneae - Juncales - Juncaceae - Juncus - Juncus prominens is not mentioned in the Flora of the Pacific Northwest (Hitchcock and Cronquist 1973), the Flora of Canada (Scoggin 1978), the Alaska flora (Hulten 1968), the Flora of Oregon (Peck 1961), or the British Columbia flora (Taylor and MacBryde 1977), although some of these mention the synonym (according to Kartesz 1994) J. falcatus ssp. sitchensis. Included in 1994 Kartesz checklist, but omitted (presumably as not occurring in his floristic region) in 8/98 review draft dataset; Juncus falcatus ssp. sitchensis recognized in 8/98 dataset.
