Global Range
BREEDING: southern Baffin Island, extreme northwestern Quebec, Greenland, Iceland, and Jan Mayen. NON-BREEDING: from Newfoundland south on Atlantic coast to Virginia and inland rarely to Great Lakes (also Old World). Nonbreeders widespread in northern North America in summer.
