Plantae - Anthophyta - Monocotyledoneae - Juncales - Juncaceae - Luzula - Widespread North American species, treated by Kartesz (1999) as having two subspecies (frigida and multiflora), the latter with five varieties. His ssp. frigida has sometimes been treated as L. sudetica var. frigida; North American reports of Luzula sudetica presumably all come here. As treated by Kartesz, L. sudetica is Eurasian only.
