Species: Marsupella brevissima

Alberta, British Columbia, Washington. Recently been found in the European Alps; widely distributed in arctic regions but also extend into southern boreal zones along high mountains (Hong 1982). In Europe, ranging through much of Scandinavia (Sweden, Finland, Norway north to Finnmark), into the alpine peaks of Scotland, and reappearing in the central European Alps (Switzerland, northern Italy, Austria, the Tatra Mountains, Monts Dore, France). Occurring at high elevations in the East Himalaya (Schuster 1974).
