Global Range
In North America, transcontinental, from the Aleutian Islands and continental Alaska to the Cordilleran region, from British Columbia to Washington and Oregon, and in Wyoming. In eastern North America, from Greenland south through Quebec and Nova Scotia to Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. In Europe, ranging from northern Scandinavia southward to the central European Alps and southward to France and to northern Spain. Also occurs in Iceland (Schuster 1974).
