PS:LE - On 11 March 1967, the Columbian white-tailed deer was Listed Endangered in the Columbia River (Clark,Cowliz,Pacific, Skamania, and Wahkiakum Counties, WA., and Clatsop,Columbia, and Multnomah Counties, OR.). On 24 July 2003, the Columbian white-tailed deer was designated as a Delisted Taxon, recovered in Douglas County, Oregon.

Global Range
CE - 250-20,000 square km (about 100-8000 square miles) - CDE - Formerly locally common in the bottomlands and prairie woodlands of the lower Columbia, Willamette, and Umpqua river basins in Oregon and southern Washington. Reduced to two distinct populations: (1) Columbia River population occurs on both banks of the river in Clatsop and Columbia counties, Oregon, and Wahkiakum and Cowlitz counties, Washington; (2) Douglas County, Oregon. These two populations are separated by about 320 km of unsuitable or discontinuous habitat (USFWS 1999).
