Global Range
This ESU consists of sockeye salmon that return to Ozette Lake through the Ozette River and currently spawn primarily in lakeshore upwelling areas in Ozette Lake (minor spawning may occur in the Ozette River or in Coal Creek); it includes all naturally spawned populations residing below impassable barriers, and it includes sockeye salmon stock reared at Umbrella Creek Hatchery, but does not include Ozette Lake kokanee, which genetically are very different (NMFS 1999).

The drainage basin and lake occupy an area of 229 square kilometers.
