Short General Description
A glabrous herbaceous perennial vascular plant that grows from ascending rhizome with a scapose stem, sometimes with one leaf, growing up to 20 cm tall. White petals equaling or shorter than sepals.

Global Range
Amphiberingian, found in every province and territory in Canada except NS and PEI, in USA found in AK, ID, CO, MO, NV, WA, WY and in Russia and Greenland. The population appears to be most abundant in YT and AK.
