Ecology and Life History
Short General Description
A perennial herb. Leaves with small teeth on margins; basal leaves largest, reduced upwards on flower stem. Heads generally three to thirteen on flexuous peduncles, often somewhat nodding. Flowers yellow.

Global Range
Regional endemic, occurs in the Cascade Mountains of central and northern Washington, north into the Coast-Cascade Mountains of southern British Columbia (Washington Natural Heritage Progam, 1981 and Douglas, 1989).
