Short General Description
A tallish (1-2 ft or about 3-6 dm) dicot, perennial plant with purple to deep rose-colored flowers.

Global Range
This species is found along the coast from Douglas County, Oregon northward to Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Only a few populations are reported from Oregon and British Columbia. The bulk of the populations are centered along the Washington coastline, including the inner Puget Sound region. Two individuals were recently discovered in southeastern Alaska (Lipkin, personal communication).
