GH - 200,000 to >2,500,000 square km (about 80,000 to >1,000,000 square miles) - GH - This is another northern and western montane bumblebee, The Discover Life website (visited March 2010) shows a distribution from Alaska south in the mountains into California, Arizona, and New Mexico, and also across Canada into Quebec and south along the US Atlantic coast from Maine to Rhode Island. It is not reported from southern Ontario (Colla and Packer, 2008), Vermont (draft as yet unpublished species key from Leif Richardson, pers. com., December 2008), or the Boston area (Bequaert, 1920).
