E - 5000-20,000 square km (about 2000-8000 square miles) - E - <i>Branchinecta gigas</i> is found in scattered localities in the Great Basin Desert, the Colorado Desert, the Columbia River Plateau, and desert regions of southern Canada, Montana, Wyoming and North Dakota. No where is it common.
