Limited to a portion of the lower Salmon River, Nez Perce and Idaho cos., ID, from approximately the mouth of White Bird Creek to the confluence with the Snake River in Hells Canyon, thence downstream in the Snake (Nez Perce Co., ID; Wallowa Co., OR, and Asotin Co., WA) to a point a few miles west of Clarkston, WA (Frest and Johannes, 1995).
