Animalia - Mandibulata - Insecta - Ephemeroptera - Ephemerellidae - Drunella - , with incorrect spelling throughout literture. Needham's (1927b) original naming and description were published in March 1927 and Needham and Christensen (1927) and Needham (1927a) (June) misspelled the scientific epithet leading to perpetuation of the error thereafter (see Jacobus and McCafferty, 2004).
