Global Range
FG - 20,000-2,500,000 square km (about 8000-1,000,000 square miles) - FG - Originally known from the Lower Snake and Columbia river drainages in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia, and possibly Montana (Frest and Johannes, 1995; Hershler and Frest, 1996). Has been extirpated from the middle and upper Columbia River in Washington, Montana, and British Columbia, and may be extinct in the lower Columbia River in Washington and Oregon (Frest and Johannes 1995). Is still extant in some tributaries in Washington.
