Global Range
C - 250-1000 square km (about 100-400 square miles) - C - Distribution includes Park Lake, Grand Coulee, Washington (Burch, 1989). Gregg (1932) also noted several occurrences in southern California; and Lepitzki (2001) includes the species as a morph of <i>Fossaria bulimoides</i> but notes several morphs (<i>F. bulimoides</i>, <i>F. cockerelli</i>, <i>F. technella</i>, and <i>F. perplexa</i>) occur in Alberta and Clarke (1973) also noted Alberta occurrences. It is not likely, however, that these specimens represent true <i>F. perplexa</i> is represented in Alberta. If these disjunct occurrences in Alberta and California prove to be valid <i>F. perplexa</i>, the range of this species would be significantly expanded beyond its Washington type locality range.
