Global Range
This species was originally described by McDunnough (1924) from the Waterton Lakes area of Alberta, Canada, which lies immediately north of the Alberta-Montana (Glacier County) border. There is no evidence, however, that it was taken from Waterton Lake itself, which is shared by Alberta and Montana (McCafferty and Newell, 2007).
