Global Range
AB - <100-250 square km (less than about 40-100 square miles) - AB - This species, which was described from California in 1939 from adults and larvae taken in Amador County (Amador Creek, Dry Creek, Jackson Creek), had not been reported there in over 60 years until recent collections were revealed from Alameda (Lake Anza), Amador (Grass Valley Creek), El Dorado (Coyote Creek, Sweetwater Creek, Taylor Creek), Marin (Lagunitas Creek, Mill Valley, Paper Mill Creek), Mariposa *Coulterville), Santa Cruz (Waddell Creek) and Shasta (Hat Creek) Cos. (Meyer and McCafferty, 2008). Historic collections (1967) are known from Raft River, Grays Harbor Co., Washington (Meyer and McCafferty, 2007). More recent, though still historic, specimens are known from Lobster Creek, Benton Co. (1975); Grayback Creek, Josephine Co. (1977); Needle Brach Creek, Lincoln Co. (1976); and Grand Ronde River, Union Co. (1936) in Oregon (Meyer and McCafferty, 2007).
