    Larvae feed on violets and probably nothing else. Based on other species in this tribe they probably will eat any species of VIOLA they encounter. VIOLA ADUNCA is a known foodplant for subspecies CALLIPPE.
    Ecology Comments
    Females in this genus, including this species, often ovipisit after violets have senesced. Eggs are laid in litter etc, near violets.
