Global Range
G - 200,000-2,500,000 square km (about 80,000-1,000,000 square miles) - G - This is a common, primarily western North American species and also ranges to the northeast (Baumgardner, 2009). North Dakota (Guenther and McCafferty, 2005) and South Dakota (Guenther and McCafferty, 2008) apparently represent the northeastern limits of its more continuous western North American range and it ranges as far south as northwestern Mexico (Allen and Murvosh, 1987).
