Custom Species Lists

Puget Sound is host to a diverse array of plants and plant associations – communities of plants that tend to occur together. This list of plants in the Puget Trough comes from the Washington Department of Natural Resources National Heritage Program. The DNR is responsible for protecting over 60,000 acres in the Puget Sound region. The Puget Trough ecoregion runs the length of the state and includes the foothills of the Cascade and Olympic mountains, as well as many rivers and streams draining into the Sound.
